Top causes of infertility in women: -There are many causes of infertility in women. The following are some of the more common ones:

1) Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS):

This is a hormonal disorder that affects the ovaries and can lead to anovulation, or not releasing eggs (ova) from the ovaries. PCOS is a leading cause of female infertility and accounts for about one-third of all cases. Women with PCOS have high levels of male hormones called androgens, which disrupt the balance of other hormones such as estrogen. This imbalance can lead to problems with menstrual cycles, fertility, hair growth and acne. Treatment for PCOS includes taking medication to regulate hormone levels or surgery to remove ovarian cysts.

2) Uterine abnormalities:              Some women have uterine abnormalities that prevent them from carrying a pregnancy for long periods. If this is the case, surgery may be recommended to correct any abnormalities in the uterus

3) Endometriosis is an inflammatory disease that affects the lining of the uterus and can result in infertility. Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that affects about 10% of all women in their reproductive years. Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths on or within the uterus that may interfere with fertility by causing pain or preventing ovulation or fertilization. Cervical stenosis refers to narrowing of the cervix that can prevent sperm from entering the uterus or block passage of an egg from exiting it.
